I began learning Chinese in my second semester at the University of Florida, because I wanted to challenge myself by learning a new language. I was inspired to learn Mandarin after visiting China twice, and have since reached Advanced level. I can read, write, and speak in both traditional and simplified Mandarin

 Because in the future, I would like to work in Asia, specifically China, I believe Mandarin has been a very useful language to learn, and it has also helped give me a deeper understanding of English and Spanish grammar. I definitely want to continue my Mandarin studies.
